Why Wagora?

The name of the ride pays tribute to Kitaboka Wagora, an anti-poaching scout who was tragically shot and killed by a poacher while on patrol in 2008. His memory continues to inspire others to follow a path of bravery, courage and the commitment to protect and conserve Africa’s wild places for future generations.

This three-day event traverses 150 kilometres in the Grumeti Reserve along the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park. Breath-taking views and enthralling animal sightings are part of the journey in this landscape that is home to The Great Migration.
